Stu Mckay, self-taught naturalist and nature photographer, has spent his entire life exploring the great outdoors. For over thirty years I have owned and operated a highly successful sport fishing guide service, catering to an international clientele. I also operate a highly successful and highly praised eco-tourism service, specialising in "nature photography workshops." These workshops are geared for those who are seeking the thrill of photographing the mighty and iconic American Bald Eagle or the magnificent Great Grey Owl, both in their natural state and natural habitat. If your desire is to learn "how to" successfully photograph the Ruby-Throated hummingbird, we can help you! I operate in my home Province of Manitoba, Canada. With over 400 migratory bird species that come to the province to breed and raise their offspring each year, Manitoba is a birding photographer's paradise.
Maybe your passion is to view in person and learn how to successfully photograph Mother Nature's "Greatest Show On Earth" the incredibly beautiful Aurora Borealis. If so, I am at your service!
Henk von Pickartz
I have been a nature lover since the early 60's as a child. My parents were usually divided between "Culture" and "Nature" and the choice for holidays was often a mixture of both. As a result I adore old architecture, archaeology and history, but also everything nature. Nature from animals and plants to severe weather. In the mid seventies my parents got me a camera that was at the end of its life by 1982. Poor thing. Fast forward to 2005 where I bought my first digital camera and I have used them ever since. Never looked back. By trade I am a computer programmer in mostly any language that imposes itself for a specific job. I came in contact with Lightroom as of version 1.2 in 2007. I have used it ever since and have seen many issues, as well as solved them. Today, Lightroom is my go-to program for the development of my pictures.
The use of Lightroom is an integral part of my daily photo workflow. I am happy to teach it and even to divulge some of my "secrets" on how to get things done with the least possible effort. This is a valuable addition to every tour Stu and I have done together over the years.
